Staff will be onsite at the Main, Brackett and the North IRC Libraries to continue to offer assistance as follows:

Face coverings are required to enter the library for appointments. Please do not enter the library if you are experiencing Covid-19 symptoms. Masks are available at the door if needed.

Fines will not accrue until further notice! Outside book drops are open.

Teens:

Grab-&-Go Kits!

Stop by the Main or North County Libraries each week to pick up one of our grab-and-go kits. Each kit contains everything you need to make a craft, plus a writing prompt and book recommendation. Kits change weekly and supplies are limited!

BookMatch Bundles and Book Recommendations

Fill out our BookMatch form online and we will select three books just for you! We'll put the books on hold in your name and you can pick them up at the Main, North County, or Brackett Libraries using our pickup service.

Children:

Reading Incentive Packets include a Reading Log, Bingo Card, and more. They can be picked up at the IRC Main LIbrary or North IRC Library starting Monday, June 8th.

Reading Log

Kids can take the 1,000 minute challenge by placing a sticker on their Reading Log for every 20 minutes they read. When it is completed, they can turn their Reading Log in for a prize, as well as for a coupon for a free 3-D printed item of their choosing.

BINGO Card

Kids can complete a row of this reading-themed BINGO, earn a prize and be entered into a drawing for a gift card provided by the Friends of the Indian River County Library.

Grab and Go Story Times

Every Monday and/or Tuesday through July 31st, families can pick-up a Grab and Go Story Time packet at the IRC Main Library or North IRC Library. This bag will include all the items needed to follow along with Ms. Patti and friends, during their weekly virtual Story Time. The weekly program will happen on Facebook Live on Wednesdays at 11:00am on the IRC Main Library Facebook page.

It will remain posted throughout the week and can be viewed at your convenience. The Grab and Go packets will include a paper stick puppet, craft materials, and a list of all of the finger-plays and rhymes used in the Story Time, as well as suggested books on that week’s theme. When you arrive at the library, call the Children's Department and they will bring it outside to you.

Grab and Go STEM

Families can pick up their STEM kit at the IRC Main Library or North IRC Library each Tuesday or Wednesday, June 9th through July 31st,. The Grab & Go STEM kit contains all of the materials and instructions needed for that week’s experiment, as well as a suggested reading list. Families can follow along as Ms. Patti explains and demonstrates the project live on IRC Main Library Facebook page every Thursday at 11:00am.

This video will remain posted throughout the week.This program is designed for 1st through 5th graders. To pick up your packet, call the Children's Dept when you arrive and someone will bring it out to you.

Adults:

A summer reading Bingo card is also available for adults. For each row completed, you will be entered into a drawing for a $25 Amazon gift card. Download your card here or pick one up at the Main or North County Libraries.
